Act regulates telemarketing and telephone solicitations. Persons primarily soliciting the
sale of a newspaper, periodical of general circulation, or magazine are exempt from the law.
This bill would specify that the inclusion of a gift package or the offering of a magazine
as a part of a membership does not preclude the solicitation from being exempt under the law
and would further specify that a solicitation on behalf of a magazine would be exempt under
the law if the magazine was approved as a magazine for the purpose of accruing income under

not increasing by more than a certain percentage as a result of covering this treatment. This
bill would require the Department of Insurance to file an annual report with the Legislature
on the costs of providing treatment for Autism Spectrum Disorder. This bill would also require
the Alabama Medicaid program and the Children's Health Insurance Plan (ALL Kids) to provide
