This bill provides dealers that are designated agents with the ability to issue temporary license tags to motor vehicles that are to be permanently licensed in Alabama. This bill also clarifies that the verification requirement of a state issued identification, or department approved federal identifying number only extends to the initial motor vehicle registration and not to the subsequent renewal of the registration.
