Section 36-26-65 Certain employees of the Disability Determination Division of the State Department of Education. On the first day of June 1980, every employee of the Disability Determination Division of the State Department of Education who: (1) Was initially employed at a time when the state Merit System employment registers from which the Disability Determination Division could select employees had been exhausted, and could not be replenished because the State Personnel Board was under order of a federal court not to give examinations to establish new registers, (2) Has been employed continuously by said Disability Determination Division for a period of four or more years, and (3) Has rendered satisfactory service in the position currently held, shall be covered under the state Merit System, without examination, and shall immediately become an employee in the classified service of the state in a position comparable to the position held by such person on May 28, 1980.
