Section 40-9-1 Persons and property generally. The following property and persons shall be
exempt from ad valorem taxation and none other: (1) All bonds of the United States and this
state and all county and municipal bonds issued by counties and municipalities in this state,
all property, real and personal, of the United States and this state and of county
and municipal corporations in this state; all cemeteries, all property, real and personal,
used exclusively for religious worship, for schools or for purposes purely charitable; provided,
that property, real or personal, owned by any educational, religious or charitable
institution, society or corporation let for rent or hire or for use for business purposes

providing for their issuance. The term capital improvements, as used in this subsection, includes
improvements, additions, and replacements to the public hospital that are of such nature as
to be chargeable to fixed capital account by generally accepted accounting principles, and
real estate on which any such improvements, additions, or replacements are proposed to be
located. The term shall be deemed to include additional structures and shall be deemed also
to include equipment and other personal property when chargeable to fixed capital account
by generally accepted accounting principles, and shall not include any operating expenses

Section 45-42-163 Distribution of payments. Upon receipt by Limestone County of funds pursuant
to Chapter 28, Title 40, as amended, Limestone County, within a reasonable time thereafter,

Section 28-3-74 Distribution of net profits from proceeds of stores. (a) The net profits derived
from the proceeds of the Alabama liquor stores in each fiscal year, including all tax levied
upon the selling price of all spirituous or vinous liquors, less all cost and expense of collecting

Section 40-22-1 Deeds, bills of sale, etc. (a) Except as set out in subsection (b), no deed,
bill of sale, or other instrument of like character which conveys any real or personal
property within this state or which conveys any interest in any such property shall be received
