Section 37-3-25 Penalties for violations. (a) Any person knowingly and willfully violating any provision of this chapter or any rule, regulation, requirement or order thereunder or any term or condition of any certificate, permit or license for which a penalty is not otherwise herein provided shall, upon conviction thereof, be fined not more than $100.00 for the first offense and not more than $500.00 for any subsequent offense. No change shall be made in any rate, fare, charge or classification, or any rule, regulation or practice affecting such rate, fare, charge or classification, or the value of the service thereunder, specified in any effective tariff or schedule of rates of a transportation company, except after 30 days' notice of the proposed change, filed and posted in accordance with Section 37-2-10 and the rules and regulations of the commission adopted thereunder.
