Section 22-8B-5 Liability for damages; wrongful death action; suspension or revocation of license.
(a) Any person, physician, or health care provider who deliberately violates this chapter
by aiding in dying shall be liable for damages. (b) If any person deliberately aids in dying
in violation of this chapter that results in death, the personal representative or
administrator of the estate of the decedent may bring an appropriate action for wrongful death.
(c) Any physician or other health care provider who deliberately aids in dying in violation
of this chapter shall be considered to have engaged in unprofessional conduct for which his
or her license to provide health care services in the state shall be suspended or revoked

shall pay an amount not to exceed the prevailing rate or maximum schedule of fees as established
herein of reasonably necessary medical and surgical treatment and attention, physical rehabilitation,

care provider; written objection; liability. (a) A health care provider has the right not
to participate, and no health care provider shall be required to participate, in a health

Section 27-1-22 Uniform prescription drug information card or technology. (a) Every health
benefit plan that provides coverage for prescription drugs or devices, or administers a plan,
including, but not limited to, third party administrators for self-insured plans and state
administered plans, excluding the Alabama Medicaid Program, shall issue to its insureds a
