Section 22-22-9 Powers and duties; enforcement of orders; permits; civil penalties for violations. (a) It shall be the duty of the commission to control pollution in the waters of the state, and it shall specifically have the following powers: (1) To study and investigate all problems concerned with the improvement and conservation of the waters of the state; (2) To conduct, independently and in cooperation with others, studies, investigation and research and to prepare, or in cooperation with others prepare, a program or programs, any or all of which shall pertain to the purity and conservation of the waters of the state or to the treatment and disposal of pollutants or other wastes, which studies, investigations, research and program or programs shall be intended to result in the reduction of pollution of the waters of the state according to the conditions and particular circumstances existing in the various communities throughout the state; and (3) To propose remedial measures...

Section 34-27-68 Commission may seek injunctive relief, etc., for violation of article; investigation; revocation of registration. (a) If it appears that a person, firm, corporation, or any business entity has engaged, or is about to engage, in an act or practice constituting a violation of a provision of this article or rule or order of the commission, the commission, through the Attorney General, may institute legal actions to enjoin the act or practice and to enforce compliance with this article or any rule or order of the commission or to have a receiver or conservator appointed. Section 11-65-20 Terms of operator's license. (a) An operator's license issued under this chapter, whether for horse racing and pari-mutuel wagering thereon or for greyhound racing and pari-mutuel wagering thereon, shall be for an initial period of 20 years, but shall be subject to renewal as provided in this section. A commission shall have no power to modify the terms of an operator's license, once issued, without the prior written consent of the holder of such license. Section 22-35-5 Fee; withdrawals; disposition of funds; liability for clean-up costs; audit. (a) Every owner of an underground or aboveground storage tank as defined in this chapter shall pay an Underground and Aboveground Storage Tank Trust Fund fee as established by the provisions of this chapter to be paid to the department. During the first year next following October 1, 1988, the amount of the annual Underground and Aboveground Storage Tank Trust Fund fee shall be one hundred dollars ($100). Thereafter, the commission, upon recommendation of the management board, shall set such an amount not to exceed one hundred fifty dollars ($150) per year per regulated tank.
