Section 2-28-7 Denial or revocation of permits by commissioner and appeals therefrom. Upon determination by the commissioner that any person certified or having a permit issued under the provisions of this chapter or any person who has applied for such certification or a permit has violated or failed to comply with any of the provisions or requirements of this chapter or any rules and regulations promulgated thereunder, the commissioner shall be authorized to revoke such certification or permit, or both, or he shall refuse to issue a certification or a permit, or both, to an applicant therefor. Section 34-1A-7 Licenses - Required. (a) Effective January 1, 1998, it shall be unlawful for any person or business entity to engage in a business regulated by this chapter in this state without a current valid license or in violation of this chapter and applicable rules and regulations of the board. (a) A violation of the notification provisions of this chapter is an unlawful trade practice under the Alabama Deceptive Trade Practices Act, Chapter 19 of this title, but does not constitute a criminal offense under Section 8-19-12.
