Education Policy Rd 1 11-FEB-16 SYNOPSIS: Under existing law, a county superintendent of education
must hold an Alabama certificate in administration and supervision, and an applicant or candidate
for county superintendent must file a certificate signed by the State Superintendent of Education
verifying that the applicant or candidate holds a certificate of administration and supervision
with the judge of probate in order to be qualified. This bill would remove the procedural
requirement that before an applicant or candidate qualifies for county superintendent of education,
he or she must file with the judge of probate a certificate signed by the State Superintendent
of Education verifying that the candidate holds a certificate of administration and supervision.
