Rep(s). By Representative Lee HB350 ENROLLED, An Act, Relating to Houston County; to further
provide for the salary of the judge of probate; and to amend Section 45-35-70, Code of Alabama
1975, to further provide for the salary of the sheriff. BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF
ALABAMA: Section 1. (a) Beginning on the effective date of this act, the Judge of Probate
of Houston County shall receive an annual salary of one hundred five thousand dollars ($105,000).
Notwithstanding Chapter 2A, Title 11, Code of Alabama 1975, the judge of probate shall be
eligible for any cost of living increase afforded to all county employees. (b) In order to
receive the compensation provided under subsection (a), the judge of probate shall waive any
compensation provided under Section 17-3-60, Code of Alabama 1975, relating to reports from
the state voter registration list.Section 2. Section 45-35-70, Code of Alabama 1975, is amended
