Section 32-8-31 Exemptions. No certificate of title shall be issued under this chapter for any of the following: (1) A vehicle owned by the United States or any agency thereof. (2) A vehicle owned by a manufacturer or dealer and held for sale, even though incidentally moved on the highway or used for purposes of testing or demonstration, or a vehicle used by a manufacturer solely for testing. (3) A vehicle owned by a nonresident of this state and not required by law to be registered in this state. (4) A vehicle for which the Alabama license plate issuing official has verified that both the current owner and operator is recorded as the owner and operator on a currently effective certificate of title issued by another state and the certificate of title is being held by a recorded lienholder. Section 32-5A-80 Driving on right side of roadway; exceptions. Section 32-5-241 Additional permissible lights on vehicles. (a) Spot lamps and auxiliary lamps. (1) SPOT LAMPS. Any motor vehicle may be equipped with not to exceed one spot lamp and every lighted spot lamp shall be so aimed and used upon approaching another vehicle that no part of the high intensity portion of the beam will be directed to the left of the prolongation of the extreme left side of the vehicle nor more than 100 feet ahead of the vehicle. Section 40-17-350 Transportation of motor fuel; inspections. (a) Each person operating a refinery or terminal in Alabama shall prepare and provide to the driver of every highway vehicle receiving motor fuel at the facility a shipping document setting out on its face the destination state as represented to the terminal operator by the shipper or the shipper's agent. Failure to comply with this subsection may result in a department imposed penalty of not less than five hundred dollars ($500) nor more than one thousand dollars ($1,000), to be multiplied by the sum of the current violation plus prior violations of this subsection.
