Section 34-1-3 State Board of Public Accountancy. (a) There is created a board of public
accountancy in and for the State of Alabama, to be known as the Alabama State Board of Public
Accountancy. The board shall consist of seven members appointed by the Governor and confirmed
by the Senate. Members of the board shall be citizens of the United States and residents of
the state. The membership of the board shall be inclusive and reflect the racial, gender,
geographic, urban/rural, and economic diversity of the state. Commencing October 1, 2019,
six members of the Alabama State Board of Public Accountancy shall be certified public accountants
in good standing with the board and one member of the board shall be a public member who is
not under the jurisdiction of the board, but shall at the time of his or her appointment be
an active and reputable member of the Alabama business community who possesses a knowledge

Section 34-9-18 Grounds for disciplinary action. (a) The board may invoke disciplinary
action as outlined in subsection (b) whenever it shall be established to the satisfaction
of the board, after a hearing as hereinafter provided, that any dentist or dental hygienist
has been guilty of the following: (1) Fraud, deceit, or misrepresentation in obtaining any
license, license certificate, annual registration certificate, money, or other thing of value.
(2) Gross immorality. (3) Is a menace to the public health or to patients or others by reason
of a disease. (4) Is an habitual user of intoxicants or drugs rendering him or her unfit for

Section 34-9-6.1 Mobile dental facilities or portable dental operations. (a) For purposes
of this section, the following words have the following meanings: (1) DENTAL HOME.
The dental home is the ongoing relationship between the dentist and the patient, inclusive
of all aspects of oral health care, delivered in a comprehensive, continuously accessible,
coordinated, and family-centered way. (2) MOBILE DENTAL FACILITY. Any self-contained facility
in which dentistry or dental hygiene is practiced which may be moved, towed, or transported

Section 16-6D-9 Tax credit claims; administrative accountability; verification of requirements;
rules and procedures. (a)(1) An individual taxpayer who files a state income tax return and
is not claimed as a dependent of another taxpayer, a taxpayer subject to the corporate income
tax levied by Chapter 18 of Title 40, an Alabama S corporation as defined in Section
40-18-160, or a Subchapter K entity as defined in Section 40-18-1 may claim a credit
for a contribution made to a scholarship granting organization. If the credit is claimed by
an Alabama S corporation or Subchapter K entity, the credit shall pass through to and may
