Section 37-9-17 Certificates for common carriers and permits for contract carriers - Application; notice and public hearing on application; investigations to determine need for additional air transportation; institution of proceedings to furnish additional services determined necessary. (a) Applications for certificates and permits shall be made in writing to the commission, be verified under oath and shall be in such form and contain such information and be accompanied by proof of service upon such interested parties as the commission shall, by regulation, require. (a) In addition to any regulatory bodies, the governing body of a county or municipality has a responsibility for and the authority to assure the proper management of solid wastes generated within its jurisdiction in accord with its solid waste management plan. (a) No qualified organization shall be permitted to operate a bingo game unless the county governing body, or the governing bodies of the respective cities and towns, within their respective jurisdictions, issues a permit to the organization authorizing it to do so.
