Section 9-15-80 Certain persons prohibited from bidding on or purchasing property. Officers and employees of the department selling or leasing the real property and officers and employees of the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, as well as members of their families, shall be excluded from bidding on the property at a public auction or by sealed bids. Section 32-2-83 Disposal of vehicles. (a) Any other provisions to the law contrary notwithstanding, the Secretary of the Alabama State Law Enforcement Agency shall be responsible for the disposal of any agency vehicles or property. Such vehicles or property shall be sold by the Secretary or his or her designee either at public auction or by a negotiated sale by the Alabama State Law Enforcement Agency to any other state department or agency.
