Section 15-23-17 Assessment of additional costs and penalties; collection and disposition of
additional assessments, etc. (a) In all criminal and quasi-criminal proceedings for the violation
of laws of the state or municipal ordinances which are tried in any court or tribunal in this
state, wherein the defendant is adjudged guilty or pleads guilty, or is adjudicated a juvenile
delinquent or youthful offender, or wherein a bond is forfeited and the result of the forfeiture
is a final disposition of the case or wherein any penalty is imposed, there is imposed an
additional cost of court in the amount of two dollars ($2) for each traffic infraction, ten
dollars ($10) in each proceeding where the offense constitutes a misdemeanor and/or a violation
of a municipal ordinance other than traffic infractions, and fifteen dollars ($15) in each
proceeding where the offense constitutes a felony , but there shall be no additional costs

Section 9-11-44 Resident license - Hunting. (a) Any person who is age 16 years or older, but
who has not reached 65 years of age, who has resided in Alabama continuously for a period
of not less than 90 days next preceding, and who is not serving as a member of the Armed Forces

Section 32-5A-191 (Effective until July 1, 2023) Driving while under influence of alcohol,
controlled substances, etc. (a) A person shall not drive or be in actual physical control
of any vehicle while: (1) There is 0.08 percent or more by weight of alcohol in his or her
blood; (2) Under the influence of alcohol; (3) Under the influence of a controlled substance
to a degree which renders him or her incapable of safely driving; (4) Under the combined influence
of alcohol and a controlled substance to a degree which renders him or her incapable of safely

Section 5-18-15 Interest rates, charges, and fees. (a) Maximum rates of interest and charge.
Every licensee under this chapter may contract for and receive as interest on any loan of
money less than one thousand five hundred dollars ($1,500) an amount at a rate not exceeding
three percent a month on that part of the unpaid principal balance not in excess of two hundred

Section 9-13-10.2 Rulemaking authority; violations; enforement. (a)(1) The State Forestry Commission
may adopt, alter, amend, or repeal rules governing the preservation, protection, and use of
state forests and any other lands owned, leased, or otherwise controlled by the commission.
(2) Any person who violates a rule adopted pursuant to this section shall be guilty of a Class
C misdemeanor and shall be fined not less than fifty dollars ($50) nor more than five hundred
dollars ($500) for each offense, and may be required to pay all costs of the proceedings.
(3) When collected, all fines shall be paid to the Office of the State Forester to be delivered
