Section 22-27-11 Violations; penalties; administrative orders; injunctive relief. (a) Any violation
of this article, any rule promulgated under the authority of this article, any order issued
under the authority, or any term or condition of any permit issued under the authority of
this article is unlawful. In addition to any penalties lawfully assessed, any person committing
a violation shall be liable for all costs of abatement of any pollution and correction of
any public nuisance caused by the violation. (b) The department may issue administrative orders
under Section 22-22A-5 or initiate civil actions, or both, as it deems necessary against any
person in the enforcement of this article, or any regulation promulgated or permit issued
under the authority of this article. (c) In addition to any other remedies provided in this

Section 37-8-221 Prohibited instruments - Search and seizure. (a) In addition to the grounds
enumerated in Section 15-5-2 for the issuance of search warrants, search warrants may be issued
as prescribed in Title 15, for the seizure of any prohibited instrument, as defined in Sections

Section 9-16-82 Permits - Required; term; successor in interest; termination; renewal; application.
(a) No person shall engage in surface coal mining operations at a particular location except
as a subcontractor of the permittee of that location until such person has been issued a permit
by the regulatory authority for that location in accordance with the provisions of this section.
The term of a permit shall not exceed five years and shall authorize the permittee to engage
in surface coal mining operations within the permitted area, unless sooner suspended or revoked
in accordance with the provisions of this article. However, if the applicant demonstrates
