Section 22-24-11 Penalty for violation of chapter, etc.; disposition of fines. Any person guilty
of violating any of the provisions of this chapter or the rules and regulations adopted thereunder
shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and may be punished by a fine of not less than $100.00 nor
more than $500.00 for each violation. Each day the violation continues shall be considered
a separate violation. Any and all funds derived from such fines shall be deposited with the

Section 13A-11-14 Cruelty to animals. (a) A person commits the crime of cruelty to animals
if, except as otherwise authorized by law, he or she recklessly or with criminal negligence:
(1) Subjects any animal to cruel mistreatment; or (2) Subjects any animal in his or her custody
