Section 9-7-12 Declaration of state policy. The Legislature finds and declares that it is state
policy: (1) To preserve, protect, develop and, where possible, to restore or enhance the resources
of the state's coastal area for this and succeeding generations; (2) To encourage and assist
counties and municipalities, wherever applicable, to exercise effectively their responsibilities
in the coastal area through the development and implementation of administration programs
to achieve wise use of the land and water resources of the coastal area, giving full consideration
to needs for economic development as well as to ecological, cultural, historic and aesthetic

Section 45-40-190 Legislative delegation. The Lawrence County Commission shall provide office
space to the Lawrence County legislative delegation in any office space that is owned or controlled
by the county and that is not occupied for use by a county, state, or federal employee. In

Section 9-10C-3 Drought plan. (a) The Office of Water Resources shall publish a drought plan
for the State of Alabama which shall include as a minimum the following: (1) Procedures for

Section 9-13-10.2 Rulemaking authority; violations; enforement. (a)(1) The State Forestry Commission
may adopt, alter, amend, or repeal rules governing the preservation, protection, and use of
state forests and any other lands owned, leased, or otherwise controlled by the commission.
(2) Any person who violates a rule adopted pursuant to this section shall be guilty of a Class
C misdemeanor and shall be fined not less than fifty dollars ($50) nor more than five hundred
dollars ($500) for each offense, and may be required to pay all costs of the proceedings.
(3) When collected, all fines shall be paid to the Office of the State Forester to be delivered
