Section 9-17-105 Permits; LP-Gas Recovery Fund; proof of insurance; surety bond; Liquefied
Petroleum Gas Board Personal Bond Fund; change of name. (a) The board may issue permits to
any person, who is a citizen of the United States or, if not a citizen of the United States,
is legally present in the United States with appropriate documentation from the federal government,
to engage in or continue the business of selling, distributing, storing, or transporting liquefied
petroleum gases and to engage in or continue the business of installing, servicing, repairing,
removing, or adjusting liquefied petroleum gas containers, tanks, or systems or to perform
magnetic, hydrostatic, visual, or X-ray inspections of liquefied petroleum gas storage containers,
cargo tanks, motor fuel containers, and cylinders in the State of Alabama; and to prescribe

postsecondary institution, except those enumerated in Section 16-46-3, shall operate within
this state unless the private postsecondary institution first secures a license from the Department
of Postsecondary Education, regardless of whether the private postsecondary institution enrolls

Section 27-17A-34 Disbursement of funds. (a) Disbursement of funds discharging any preneed
contract for funeral services or funeral merchandise fulfilled after May 1, 2002, shall be
made by the trustee to the certificate holder upon receipt by the trustee of a certification
of the certificate holder that the preneed contract has been performed in whole or in part
or the preneed contract has been cancelled. Before the trustee may disburse any trust funds,
the certificate holder shall provide to the trustee a death certificate or other valid proof
of death, a letter from the preneed contract holder cancelling the preneed contract or valid
proof the contract has been cancelled in accordance with Section 27-17A-33, or valid proof

Section 27-36A-2 Definitions. For purposes of this chapter, the following definitions shall
apply on or after the operative date of the valuation manual as defined by Section 27-36A-15:
