Section 7-5-102 Definitions. (a) In this article: (1) "Adviser" means a person who,
at the request of the issuer, a confirmer, or another adviser, notifies, or requests another
adviser to notify, the beneficiary that a letter of credit has been issued, confirmed, or
amended. (2) "Applicant" means a person at whose request or for whose account a
letter of credit is issued. The term includes a person who requests an issuer to issue a letter
of credit on behalf of another if the person making the request undertakes an obligation to
reimburse the issuer. (3) "Beneficiary" means a person who under the terms of a
letter of credit is entitled to have its complying presentation honored. The term includes
a person to whom drawing rights have been transferred under a transferable letter of credit.
(4) "Confirmer" means a nominated person who undertakes, at the request or with
the consent of the issuer, to honor a presentation under a letter of credit issued by another.

Section 45-5-141.20 Powers and duties; annual dues; board of trustees; referendum election.
(a) This section shall apply only in Blount County. (b) A district for the delivery of fire
and emergency medical services may be formed in any unincorporated area of the county pursuant
to this section subject to the approval of a majority of the qualified electors who vote at
a referendum election for that purpose in the proposed district and for the approval of the
mandatory annual dues of the district. (c) In order to call for a referendum election for
the formation of a district, a petition signed by not less than 20 percent of the registered
voters who reside in the proposed district shall be presented to the county commission and
the Judge of Probate of Blount County. The petition shall contain an accurate legal description

Section 16-25-21 Method of financing. Effective October 1, 1997, all the assets of the retirement
system shall be credited according to the purpose for which they are held among three funds,
namely: The Annuity Savings Fund, the Pension Accumulation Fund, and the Expense Fund. The

Section 44-2-10 Text of compact. The Interstate Compact for Juveniles is enacted into law and
entered into with all jurisdictions mutually adopting the compact in the form substantially
as follows: THE INTERSTATE COMPACT FOR JUVENILES Article I. Purpose. The compacting states
to this interstate compact recognize that each state is responsible for the proper supervision
or return of juveniles, delinquents and status offenders who are on probation or parole and

agreement. (a) Financing statement naming original debtor. Except as otherwise provided in
this section, a filed financing statement naming an original debtor is effective to perfect
a security interest in collateral in which a new debtor has or acquires rights to the extent
that the financing statement would have been effective had the original debtor acquired rights
