Section 34-24-339 Certificate of registration - Not required for retired persons. Any person licensed to practice medicine or osteopathy in this state, who is retired or may hereafter retire from such practice, shall not be required to register as required by this article; provided, that such person shall file with the commission an affidavit on a form to be furnished by the commission, and such affidavit shall state the date on which the person retired from such practice and such other facts as shall tend to verify such retirement as the commission shall deem necessary; provided, that if such person thereafter reengages in the practice of medicine or osteopathy such person shall register with the Medical Licensure Commission as provided by this article.
