Section 45-27-90.04 Powers of authority. The authority or its agents and employees may do all
of the following: (1) Investigate, study, and engage in basic research relative to the natural
resources of land, water, minerals, and people in the county and apply its findings in efforts

Section 11-49B-7 Powers of authority. The authority shall exercise, subject to this chapter,

Section 11-69-1 Adoption and implementation of plan. (a) Any Class 7 or 8 municipality in this
state may adopt a rural scenic right-of-way plan for the development, improvement, and use
of right-of-way along municipal roads and streets and county roads within the corporate limits
and police jurisdiction of the municipality except right-of-way, highways, streets, or roads
that are under exclusive or concurrent jurisdiction of the Alabama Department of Transportation.
Pursuant to the plan, the municipality may designate right-of-way adjacent to a municipal
road or street or a county road to be developed, improved, and used for recreational or beautification

Section 11-89C-4 Powers of public corporation; requirements for development or adoption of
rules, procedures, ordinances, etc. (a) When expressly required to comply with storm water
laws, any public corporation created pursuant to this chapter shall have the following powers:

Section 23-2-146 Grade separations at intersections; relocation of public highways; authority
to enter private lands to drill, survey, etc.; relocation, etc., of public utility facilities;
