Section 11-91A-7 Jurisdiction of board; funding; powers of board. The board shall have full, complete, and exclusive jurisdiction over the program and shall allocate funds from its treasury for the fulfillment and accomplishment of its duties and responsibilities in a manner as may be necessary and appropriate to carry out the purposes of this chapter. The board shall have the general powers and authority granted under the laws of this state for health insurers, and in addition thereto, the specific authority to do all of the following: (a) Subject to compliance with Section 11-91A-8 where applicable, execute a contract or contracts to provide for the administration of the program in accordance with this chapter. Section 22-6-11 Breast and cervical cancer prevention and treatment. (a) This section shall be known and may be cited as the "2009 Breast and Cervical Cancer Prevention and Treatment Act." Section 34-14C-4 Licensure; inspections. (a) Except as otherwise provided in this chapter, a home medical equipment services provider shall be licensed annually by the board before the provider may engage in the provision of home medical equipment services. In Alabama, when a single business entity provides home medical equipment services from more than one location within the state, each such location shall be licensed. A provider of home medical equipment services that has a principal place of business outside this state shall maintain at least one physical location within this state, each of which shall be licensed. Every person licensed to practice medicine or osteopathy in the State of Alabama shall, on or before December 31 of each succeeding year, apply to the commission for renewal of a certificate of registration which shall be effective during the next calendar year. Section 41-9-1032 Refusal to grant license; disciplinary action; suspension or revocation of match permit. (a) The commission may refuse to grant a license to an applicant upon a finding by a majority of the entire commission that the applicant has failed to demonstrate the qualifications or standards for a license contained in this section or under the laws and rules under which licensure is sought.
