Section 34-24-292 Services performed by trainees and assistants. (a) Notwithstanding any other provision of law, a licensed assistant to a physician may perform medical services when the services are rendered under the supervision of a licensed physician or physicians approved by the board; except, that no medical services may be performed under this article except under the supervision of an ophthalmologist in the office in which the physician normally actually practices his or her profession and nowhere else in any of the following areas: (1) The measurement of the powers or range of human vision or the determination of the accommodation and refractive state of the human eye or the scope of its functions in general or the fitting or adaptation of lenses or frames for the aid thereof. Section 41-23-153 Establishment and administration of financing program. (a) The department, in cooperation with public and private sector partners, shall establish a financing program to provide financing to retailers to construct, rehabilitate, or expand grocery stores in underserved communities in urban and rural low and moderate income areas. (b) The department may contract with one or more qualified nonprofit organizations or community development financial institutions to administer this program through a public-private partnership. The department shall establish program guidelines, promote the program statewide, evaluate applicants, underwrite and disburse grants and loans, and monitor compliance and impact. (a) A public corporation may be organized as a community punishment and corrections authority pursuant to this article in any county or group of counties located in one or more judicial circuits.
