Section 11-81-241 Definitions. For the purposes of this article, the following words shall have the following meanings: (1) COSTS OF A QUALIFIED PROJECT. All costs including, but not limited to, the following: a. All costs of acquisition, by purchase or otherwise, construction, assembly, installation, modification, renovation, or rehabilitation incurred in connection with any qualified project or any part of any qualified project. b. All costs of real property, fixtures, or personal property used in or in connection with or necessary for any qualified project or for any facilities related thereto, including, but not limited to, the following: 1. The cost of all land, estates for years, easements, rights, improvements, water rights, connections for utility services, fees, franchises, permits, approvals, licenses, and certificates. 2. Section 34-11-9 Practice by firms. (a)(1) A firm that practices or offers to practice engineering or land surveying is required to obtain a certificate of authorization from the board in accordance with rules adopted by the board. (2) An entity that performs engineering services or land surveying services for itself, or for a parent or subsidiary, is not required to have a certificate of authorization. (3) A firm may not be relieved of responsibility for the conduct or acts of its agents, employees, officers, or partners by reason of its compliance with this section. Section 40-29-22 Lien for taxes - Validity and priority against certain persons. (a) Purchasers, holders of security interests, mechanic's lienors, and judgment lien creditors. (a) A real property owner in a designated region may apply to a local government under a program for funding to finance a qualified project and enter into a written contract with the local government.
