bank causes to be performed for itself, by contract or otherwise, any of the covered services
listed in this section, the performance, condition, and affairs of the service provider are
subject to regulation and examination to the same extent as if the services were being performed
by the serviced bank itself when deemed necessary by the superintendent to ensure the safe
and sound operation of a serviced bank or serviced banks or to respond to a danger, or potential
danger, to the public welfare. (b) For the purposes of this section, covered services include
all of the following: (1) Data processing services. (2) Activities that support financial
services including, but not limited to, lending, funds transfer, fiduciary activities, trading

Section 27-31A-3.1 Risk retention groups to comply with governance standards. (a) By January
1, 2016, existing risk retention groups shall be in compliance with the governance standards
set forth in this section. New risk retention groups shall be in compliance with these standards
at the time of licensure. (b) The board of directors or board, as used in this section, means
the governing body of the risk retention group elected by the shareholders or members to establish
policy, elect or appoint officers and committees, and make other governing decisions. Director,
as used in this section, means a natural person designated in the articles of the risk retention
group, or designated, elected, or appointed by any other manner, name, or title to act as

Section 36-25-1 Definitions. Whenever used in this chapter, the following words and terms shall
have the following meanings: (1) BUSINESS. Any corporation, partnership, proprietorship, firm,
enterprise, franchise, association, organization, self-employed individual, or any other legal
entity. (2) BUSINESS WITH WHICH THE PERSON IS ASSOCIATED. Any business of which the person

Section 5-17-45 Legislative findings; powers of credit unions; agreements; reports. (a) The
Legislature finds as fact and determines that the credit unions having their principal place
of business in Alabama must keep pace with technological and other improvements constantly
being made throughout the United States so as to enable Alabama credit unions to render better
and more efficient services to their members. It is necessary and desirable that the administrator

of the licensee, the nature and scope of the activities of the licensee, including its use
of third-party service providers, and the sensitivity of the nonpublic information used by

Compact. The Emergency Medical Services Personnel Licensure Interstate Compact is hereby enacted
into law and entered into with all other jurisdictions legally joining therein in form substantially
as follows: SECTION 1. PURPOSE In order to protect the public through verification of competency
and ensure accountability for patient care related activities all states license emergency
medical services (EMS) personnel, such as emergency medical technicians (EMTs), advanced EMTs
and paramedics. This Compact is intended to facilitate the day to day movement of EMS personnel
across state boundaries in the performance of their EMS duties as assigned by an appropriate
authority and authorize state EMS offices to afford immediate legal recognition to EMS personnel
