Section 45-35-120.16 Dismissal, demotion, and suspension of employees. Any employee may be dismissed, suspended without pay, or demoted by his or her appointing authority for, but not limited to, any violation of this act or whenever the good of the service will be served thereby or the employee's work, performance, conduct on or off the job, or insubordinate attitude so warrants; provided, however, that no employee may be suspended without pay for more than 10 working days at any one time or for more than 10 working days in any one year; and provided further, that no employee shall be dismissed, suspended without pay, or demoted for political considerations other than those enumerated in Section 45-35-120.20. (a) Not later than June 1 of each calendar year, an insurer or the insurance group of which the insurer is a member, shall submit to the commissioner a Corporate Governance Annual Disclosure that contains the information described in Section 27-29B-5. Section 5-2A-22 Independent audits; minimum standards; advisory committee; report in lieu of audit. The board of directors of each state bank shall at least once in each calendar year have an audit made of its books and affairs, including any accounts held in a fiduciary capacity, by independent auditors approved by the superintendent. These may be separate audits. "Independent auditors" shall include the audit staff of a correspondent bank or the audit staff of a bank holding company, or auditors or accountants who are not employees of the bank. The superintendent shall by regulation establish minimum standards for audits and reports, which shall include such matters as he shall require. (a) The qualified industry organization shall select members of the council from nominations made by retail marketers and wholesalers operating in the State of Alabama.
