Section 16-1-18.1 Accumulation of sick leave. (a) Definitions. When used in this section, the following terms shall have the following meanings, respectively: (1) EMPLOYEE. Any person employed full time as provided by law by those employers enumerated in this section; and adult bus drivers. (2) EMPLOYER. Section 45-37-243.40 Levy of tax; payment; violations. (a) This section shall only apply to Jefferson County. (b) As used in this section, state sales tax means the tax imposed by the state sales and use tax statutes, including, but not limited to, Sections 40-23-1, 40-23-2, 40-23-3, and 40-23-4. (c)(1) Notwithstanding any provision of law and pursuant to Section 104 of the Constitution of Alabama of 1901, there is imposed, in addition to all other taxes, including, but not limited to, municipal gross receipts license taxes, a three percent sales tax on alcoholic beverages sold from restaurants that are licensed by the Alcoholic Beverage Control Board. Section 8-19A-5 Licensing; application for license. (a) Prior to doing business in this state, a commercial telephone seller shall obtain a license from the division. Doing business in this state includes both telephone solicitation from a location in Alabama and solicitation from other states or nations of purchasers located in Alabama. Section 36-16-8 Property Inventory Control Division - Establishment of control of state personal property; property managers; inventories. The Property Inventory Control Division shall establish a control in the following manner of all nonconsumable state personal property not exempt under Section 36-16-11. (1) The head of each department or agency of the state shall designate one of its employees as property manager for the department or agency.
