Section 22-30D-3 Definitions. Unless otherwise defined in this chapter, the definitions of terms included in Section 22-30-3 shall be applicable to this chapter. For the purposes of this chapter, the following terms have the following meanings: (1) ABANDONED DRYCLEANING FACILITY. Any real property premises or individual leasehold space located in this state owned by any person in which a drycleaning facility or wholesale distribution facility formerly operated; provided, however, that any owner or operator or wholesale distributor who shall have elected not to be covered by the provisions of this chapter shall not be considered a person owning or leasing such a facility for the purposes of this chapter. (2) ADJACENT LAND OWNER. Any owner, lessor, or mortgagee of any real property onto which contamination from a drycleaning facility, abandoned drycleaning facility, or wholesale distribution facility of any owner or operator or wholesale distributor who shall have elected to be covered...

Section 27-7-1 Definitions. For the purposes of this chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings respectively ascribed to them by this section: (1) BUSINESS ENTITY. A corporation, association, partnership, limited liability company, limited liability partnership, or other legal entity. (2) COMMISSIONER. The Alabama Commissioner of Insurance. (3) HOME STATE. Section 16-5-4 Organization; chairperson; meetings, quorum, agenda, etc.; expenses; executive director and employees; retirement system. (a) The commission shall elect annually from its own members a chairperson and such other officers as it deems desirable and shall adopt rules for its organization in the conduct of its business. (b) The commission shall hold regular meetings at such times as are specified in its rules. Special or additional meetings may be held on call of the chairperson, or upon a call signed by at least six members, or upon call of the Governor. (a) No license prescribed in this code shall be issued or renewed until the provisions of this code have been complied with and the filing and license fees other than those levied by a municipality are paid to the board. Section 32-5A-195 Cancellation, suspension, or revocation of driver's license; grounds, procedure, etc. (a) The Secretary of the Alabama State Law Enforcement Agency is authorized to cancel any driver's license upon determining that the licensee was not entitled to the issuance thereof or that the licensee failed to give the correct or required information in his or her application. Upon such cancellation, the licensee must surrender the license so cancelled. If the licensee refuses to surrender the license, he or she shall be guilty of a misdemeanor. Section 16-6D-9 Tax credit claims; administrative accountability; verification of requirements; rules and procedures. (a)(1) An individual taxpayer who files a state income tax return and is not claimed as a dependent of another taxpayer, a taxpayer subject to the corporate income tax levied by Chapter 18 of Title 40, an Alabama S corporation as defined in Section 40-18-160, or a Subchapter K entity as defined in Section 40-18-1 may claim a credit for a contribution made to a scholarship granting organization.
