Section 45-3-171.04 Report of appropriate city official; resolution declaring a public nuisance. The term appropriate city official as used in Section 45-3-171.02 to 45-3-171.14, inclusive, shall mean any city official or employee designated by the mayor or other chief executive officer of the city as the person to exercise the authority and perform the duties delegated by those sections to be "appropriate city official." The appropriate city official shall report to the city governing body whenever weeds are growing upon any street, sidewalk, or private property which constitute a nuisance.
