Section 45-2-261.01 Appointment of members and personnel of the Baldwin County Planning and
Zoning Commission. The planning commission shall be composed of nine regular members, each
of whom shall be a qualified elector and an actual resident of the county. One and only one
regular member of the planning commission may be a qualified elector of the county who resides
in the corporate limits of a municipality in the county. All regular members shall be appointed
by the Baldwin County Commission for a term of four years. Upon the affirmative vote of a
majority of the qualified electors in a district election held pursuant to Section 45-2-261.07,
the membership of the planning commission shall be increased by appointment by the county
commission of a qualified elector from that district for a temporary one-time term of three

Section 45-23-233 Operation of jail store; Sheriff's Law Enforcement Fund. (a) The Sheriff
of Dale County, or the authorized agents of the sheriff, may operate a jail store for prisoners
within the confines of the county jail. The jail store shall be operated to serve the needs
of the jail population. (b)(1) The sheriff shall establish and maintain a Sheriff's Law Enforcement
Fund in a bank located in Dale County. All proceeds collected under this section shall be
tax exempt and deposited by the sheriff into the Sheriff's Law Enforcement Fund. All jail
store transactions shall be accounted for in the fund. (2) The sheriff shall keep an account
of all jail store sales and transactions of the Sheriff's Law Enforcement Fund for audit by

Section 45-49-242.20 Pest control ad valorem tax. (a)(1) The Court of County Commissioners,
Board of Revenue, or like governing body of Mobile County is hereby authorized to levy and
collect, in addition to all other taxes authorized by law, a special annual ad valorem tax
of one mill on each dollar's worth of taxable real and personal property in Mobile County
for the administration, operation, and maintenance of mosquito, rodent, and other vector control
activities to be carried out by the Mobile County Board of Health. Such tax shall be based
upon the last preceding assessment for state and county purposes commencing with the tax year
beginning October 1, 1976; its collection shall conform to the collection of taxes from counties;

Section 45-49-71.02 Landfill projects and dirt pits. (a) Whenever the Mobile County Commission
deems it to be in the public interest to approve a landfill project to be established anywhere
in the county, it shall call for a public hearing on such landfill project to be held at least
30 days prior to approving the project. The public hearing shall be attended by members of
the county commission and at least two representatives of the business entity that is to serve
as the primary contractor for the landfill project. In the event the public hearing is not

Section 14-6-47 Prisoner Feeding Fund; forms for records; disposition of funds. (a) The Prisoner
Feeding Fund is established in the office of each sheriff. Except as provided in subsection
(b), all monies received in the sheriff's office for food and services in preparing food,
serving food, and other services incident to the feeding of prisoners in the county jail pursuant
to this chapter, shall be deposited in the Prisoner Feeding Fund and shall be kept separate
