Section 45-49-40.10 Persons entitled to license without initial examination. Any present resident
of the county to which this part applies, who holds a license as a barber or apprentice, or
any barber school or college in operation on September 8, 1961, shall automatically be granted
a license without an examination by making application to the commission on or before the
1st day of January, 1962, and upon paying the annual renewal fee specified herein for barbers,
apprentices, and barber schools or colleges, provided that such applicant has been issued

Section 45-37-40.04 License - Application; hearings; appeals; fees. (a) Every applicant for
a barbers license, apprentice barbers license, barber teacher license, scalp specialist license,
or a license to operate a barber shop or barbers college, or other like business, shall apply
therefor in writing on blanks prepared or furnished by the barbers commission. It shall be
accompanied by the recommendation of at least two barbers doing business in the county, not
related to the applicant, certifying that the applicant is of good reputation, is qualified

a license as an apprentice barber provided he or she satisfies all of the following: (1) Is
at least 16 and one-half years of age and is of good moral character and temperate habits.

Section 34-4-21 Application and examination; fees; expiration, renewal of licenses; continuing
