Section 34-29-94 Veterinary technician licensing requirements; authorized acts; unlicensed assistants; emergency care; suspension, revocation of license; continuing education. (a) In order to obtain a license as a veterinary technician, the applicant shall do all of the following: (1) Submit a complete notarized application on a form prescribed by the board setting forth that the applicant meets all of the following qualifications: a. Section 34-27-61 Hearing; refusal, suspension, or revocation of license; willful violation defined; escrow deficiency. The commission may upon its own motion, or upon the verified complaint in writing of any person, hold a hearing regarding an alleged violation by any person or business entity of this article. Any person found guilty of having violated any provision of this article or any rule, regulation, or order of the commission shall be subject to the refusal of a license, if not licensed; or, if licensed, to the suspension or revocation of such license and/or a monetary penalty of not less than $25 nor more than $1,000. (a) The hearing on the charges shall be at a time and place prescribed by the board and in accordance with this article. (a) In order to provide funds for public school purposes, the governing body of each of the several counties in this state is hereby authorized by ordinance to levy and provide for the assessment and collection of franchise, excise and privilege license taxes with respect to privileges or receipts from privileges exercised in such county, which shall be in addition to any and all other county taxes heretofore or hereafter authorized by law in such county.
