Section 45-49-181.01 Petition by adjacent property owners. In order for a road to be considered
under this part, all of the owners of property located adjacent to the named road, or portion
of the named road to be considered, and whose property does not gain access from another openly
traveled public or private right-of-way, shall sign the petition. The petition shall be submitted
to the county commission during the month of January requesting the commission to consider
the acceptance of the named privately maintained road into the county road maintenance system.

Section 45-49-181.02 Chair of petitioners; petition requirements. A chair shall be designated
on this petition to represent the petitioners and to act on their behalf. A map of legible
size indicating the location of the named road shall be presented with the petition. The petition
should clearly state the name to be assigned to the road. The petition shall certify to the
intent of the adjacent property owners to offer jointly, at no cost to the county, a minimum
of 60-foot width of right-of-way, along an alignment that complies with accepted design criteria
and does not compromise the safety of the traveling public, together with any required drainage

Section 23-4-20 Vacation of street or alley. (a) Subject to the conditions set out in this
subsection, any street or alley may be vacated, in whole or in part, by the owner or owners
of the land abutting the street or alley or abutting that portion of the street or alley desired
to be vacated by following the procedures set out herein. The owner or owners of the land

(a) The Mobile County Commission is hereby authorized and empowered to promulgate and implement
such rules and regulations relating to the landscaping and commercial development in or adjacent

Section 22-27-48.1 Approval process by local governing body for siting of new solid waste management
facility. (a) This section applies to the siting of any new solid waste management facility,
as defined in Section 22-27-2. (b) The governing body of a county or municipality shall make
a discretionary decision to approve or disapprove the siting of a new solid waste management
facility in accordance with this section. (c) Any person or entity seeking approval from the
governing body of a county or municipality for the siting of a new solid waste management
facility shall also submit to the governing body as part of its application, the application
fee required under subsection (d) of Section 22-27-48 and all of the following information:
