Section 36-22-60 Qualifications; election; filling of vacancy; article applies only to elected
sheriffs. Any sheriff, on or after July 19, 1979, of any county of this state may elect to
participate in the supernumerary sheriff's program provided by this article. Any sheriff,
on or after July 19, 1979, of any county of this state: (1) Who has had 12 years of service
credit as a law enforcement officer, four of which have been as a sheriff and who has become
permanently and totally disabled, proof of such disability being made by certificate of three
reputable physicians; or (2) Who has had 16 years of service credit as a law enforcement officer,

Section 36-22-61 Payroll deductions; refunds; widow's allowance; effect of other retirement
plans. The governing body of each county shall begin deducting, upon July 19, 1979, and each
month thereafter, from the salaries of such sheriffs an amount equal to six percent of the

Section 45-46-233.21 Salary; funding. Each such supernumerary sheriff shall serve for life
and receive from the county governing body in equal monthly installments, on the first of
each month, an annual salary of 50 percent of the salary of the current Sheriff of Marengo
County, which shall be adjustable in like manner with any salary increase the current sheriff
shall receive. For every year served as sheriff over 16 years the salary of the supernumerary
sheriff shall increase by two percent of the sheriff's salary at the time he or she ceased

Section 34-27C-2 Creation; composition; sunset provision. (a) The Alabama Security Regulatory
Board is created. Each member of the board shall be a citizen of the United States and a resident

place limited or prohibited by state or federal law, a person, including a person with a permit

Section 34-21-25 Denial, suspension, or revocation of license; administrative fines; voluntary
disciplinary alternative program. (a) For disciplinary purposes, the board may adopt, levy,

composed of five members, each of whom shall be a fair, equitable citizen of this state and
