Section 45-44-150.01 Qualifications of members. (a) Each racing commissioner shall take the
same constitutional oath of office as any other county officer, and shall give bond payable
to Macon County in the amount of twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000) conditioned that such
commissioner shall faithfully and properly perform the duties of such office. The premium
on such bond shall be paid by the racing commission. The racing commission may employ such
assistants and employees as may be necessary who shall be paid out of the funds collected
by the racing commission. (b) A member of the racing commission shall not be an officer, director,
or employee of any licensee or have any financial interest in any race track or race meeting
licensed by the racing commission and shall not own or race greyhound dogs in any race meeting

Section 45-44-150.03 Treasurer. The treasurer shall be appointed by the Macon County Racing
Commission. The Treasurer of the Macon County Commission shall be ex officio cotreasurer of
the commission for purposes of receiving and distributing certain collected net proceeds as

Section 45-49-151.09 Application for permit or license. (a) On or before the 15th day of October
of each year, any person, association, or corporation possessing the qualifications prescribed
in this subpart may apply to the racing commission for a permit or license to conduct race

any person to drive any vehicle on any public highway in any race, speed competition or contest,
drag race or acceleration contest, test of physical endurance, exhibition of speed or acceleration,

simulcast programming of horse races and greyhound races authorized in accordance with Section
11-65-32, it shall be unlawful for any person to transmit or communicate to another by any

to any horse race or greyhound race from any racetrack in a commission municipal jurisdiction
