Section 45-19-243.07 Charge for collection; disposition of funds. The department shall charge
Coosa County for collecting the tax levied under this part in an amount or percentage of total
collections as may be agreed upon by the commissioner and the Coosa County Commission. The
charge shall not exceed two percent of the total amount of the tax collected in the county.
The charge may be deducted each month from the gross revenues from the tax before certification
of the amount of the proceeds due Coosa County for that month. The Commissioner of Revenue
shall pay into the State Treasury all amounts collected under this part, as the tax is received
by the department on or before the first day of each successive month. The commissioner shall
certify to the Comptroller the amount collected and paid into the State Treasury for the benefit

resource officers. (a) This section shall only apply to Geneva County. (b) As used in this
section, state sales tax means the tax imposed by the state sales and use tax statutes, including,

Section 40-17-371 Cost of collection; distribution of tax proceeds. (a) The Alabama Department
of Revenue shall retain one-quarter of one percent (0.25%) of the tax proceeds, less any refunds,
from this additional excise tax on gasoline and diesel fuel for its cost of collection. The
department may adopt rules and such forms as may be necessary for the administration of the
excise tax provided for in this article. (b) Each month, prior to the remaining payments provided
in this article, up to $750,000 of the tax proceeds from the additional excise tax on gasoline
and up to $230,000 of the tax proceeds from the additional excise tax on diesel fuel shall
be distributed first to the Alabama Highway Finance Corporation for the payment of the principal

hereby created within the tax collector's office of Chilton County a license division. The
county commission shall furnish suitable quarters and provide the necessary forms, books,

Section 45-26-244.35 Collections and enforcement. The tax levied by this subpart shall constitute
a debt due Elmore County. The tax, together with any interest and penalties, shall constitute
and be secured by a lien upon the property of any person from whom the tax is due or who is
required to collect the tax. The Elmore County Commission or its agent shall collect the tax,
enforce this subpart, and have and exercise all rights and remedies that the state or the
