Section 45-39-40.12 Fees. (a) No person shall be admitted to examination or receive a license under this article, except as otherwise provided for in this article, unless such person shall possess the following qualifications: (1) BARBER. The board of barber commissioners shall charge and collect the following fees: (1) The original as well as any subsequent examination fee for barber or apprentice shall be twenty-five dollars ($25) per examination. (a) Any person who desires to engage in any of the practices regulated by the board pursuant to this chapter shall be a citizen of the United States or, if not a citizen of the United States, a person who is legally present in the United States with appropriate documentation from the federal government, and shall file with the board a written application for examination or licensure.
