Section 41-9-801 Terms of office; appointment of new members; chairman. Members of the commission shall serve for terms of office as follows: One member from each county shall serve for two years and the remaining member of each county shall serve for four years. Two of Bibb County's members shall be appointed for an initial term of four years and one for an initial term of two years. The initial members from Autauga County shall serve one year and two years, respectively. Upon the expiration of the original term of office of commission members, all successor voting members shall be appointed for four-year terms, providing for approximately one-half membership vacancies every two years.
