Section 45-37A-51.302 Civic center. (a) For the purpose of the application of the system to the extent herein provided, and for that purpose only, and except as may be otherwise or differently provided herein, the employment by the civic center of employee members shall be deemed constructively employment by the city during all of their time in the service of the civic center after the adoption of this section, with like effect as though the employee members, while working for the civic center, were actually working as employees of the city, subject to this pension system. Section 40-2B-2 Alabama Tax Tribunal. (a) Statement of Purpose. To increase public confidence in the fairness of the state tax system, the state shall provide an independent agency with tax expertise to resolve disputes between the Department of Revenue and taxpayers, prior to requiring the payment of the amounts in issue or the posting of a bond, but after the taxpayer has had a full opportunity to attempt settlement with the Department of Revenue based, among other things, on the hazards of litigation.
