Section 45-18-242 Lodging tax levied; exemptions. (a) There is levied in Conecuh County, in addition to all other taxes now imposed by law, a privilege or license tax paralleling the state tax on the businesses of renting rooms, lodging, or accommodations to transients as provided for in Chapter 26, Title 40, hereinafter referred to as the state lodging tax, in the manner and at the rate hereinafter prescribed. Section 34-36-6 Powers and duties of board. (a) By rule, the board shall make provisions to do all of the following: (1) Prepare or approve all examinations of applicants for licenses for electrical contractors and journeyman electricians. Section 34-4-25 Licensing of nonresidents. A nonresident of this state, or a resident of this state who is licensed by another state, may become an auctioneer or apprentice auctioneer in this state by conforming to this chapter, or in the case of a nonresident from a nonlicensing state, such person may be licensed provided an examination is given and passed and the person has at least five years' experience in the auction business.
