Section 45-39-92 Definitions. When used in this part, the following words and phrases shall have the following meanings, unless the context clearly indicates otherwise: (1) AUTHORITY. The Shoals Economic Development Authority. (2) BOARD. The board of directors of the authority comprised of the members of the Shoals Economic Development Authority. (3) GOVERNING BODY or BODIES. The legislative, executive, or deliberative body of those counties or municipalities within counties that are vested with responsibility to appoint members to the authority. (4) MEMBER. An individual resident and registered voter of Lauderdale County or Colbert County, who has been appointed to the authority by their respective governing bodies to serve in a representative capacity. Section 45-39-40.21 Barbers commission. (a) There is hereby created a barbers commission for the county to which his article applies. The Governor shall appoint three persons, each of whom immediately prior to the date of his or her appointment has been a resident of the county for three years, and who has had at least five years' experience as a barber, one member to be appointed for a term of one year, one member to be appointed for a term of two years, and one member to be appointed for a term of three years. There is created and established an Indian housing authority for the jurisdiction of the State of Alabama, to be styled the Alabama Indian Housing Authority.
