Section 45-27-247.07 Rules and regulations; funding. The governing body of the county is hereby
given the right, power, and authority to promulgate and adopt rules and regulations governing
the collection of the tax hereby imposed, if it is necessary so to do in order to more effectually
carry out the terms and provisions of this subpart, but it shall not have the right to alter
or change the distribution of the tax as herein provided for. The county governing body shall
make available to the judge of probate ample funds from the county general fund for the purchase
of stamps and other materials and supplies needed by the judge of probate for carrying out
this subpart, and the county governing body may employ a person or persons at a salary or
salaries and expenses of the person or persons so employed not to exceed the aggregate of

Section 45-41-11 Salaries for judge of probate, sheriff, tax assessor, tax collector. (a) Pursuant
to Amendment 362 to the Constitution of Alabama of 1901, and Act 531 of the 1976 Regular Session,
the following elected officials serving Lee County shall receive annual salaries as follows

Section 45-46-242.26 Charge for collection; disposition of funds. The department, or other
entity, shall charge Marengo County for collecting the tax levied under this subpart in an
amount or percentage of total collections as may be agreed upon by the commissioner, or other
entity, and the Marengo County Commission. The charge shall not exceed five percent of the
total amount of the tax collected in the county. The charge may be deducted each month from

commission of any county in which a special tax for public hospital purposes has heretofore
been or shall hereafter be authorized at an election held in the county pursuant to the provisions
of any amendment to the constitution shall have the power to designate a hospital corporation
