Section 45-39-101.01 Term of office; assumption of duties. At the general election held in
Lauderdale County wherein the Lauderdale County Superintendent of Education shall be elected,
he or she shall assume office on the first Monday in January immediately following the election
and shall hold office for a term of four years and until his or her successor is elected and
qualified, unless sooner removed for good cause, and each four years thereafter, the Lauderdale
County Superintendent of Education shall be elected by the qualified electors of the county
residing outside of the corporate limits of the City of Florence, at the regular election,
and nomination for this office may be made in primary elections as other county officers.

Section 45-25-91 DeKalb County Economic Development Authority. (a) There is created the DeKalb
County Economic Development Authority. The authority is created for the purpose and has the
responsibility of aiding and assisting current industries and coordinating efforts of all
municipal and county agencies of DeKalb County, Alabama, as well as aiding organizations in
the development of new industries which will provide job opportunities for the citizens of

Section 45-5-243 Power to levy; disposition of proceeds. (a) Subject to any limitation of the
Constitution of Alabama of 1901, or of any general law of this state, the Blount County Commission
shall have the power to levy and provide for the collection of additional privilege license
taxes, excise taxes, gasoline taxes, and sales and use taxes. The proceeds from any of the
