Section 7-4A-211 Cancellation and amendment of payment order. (a) A communication of the sender
of a payment order cancelling or amending the order may be transmitted to the receiving bank
orally, electronically, or in writing. If a security procedure is in effect between the sender
and the receiving bank, the communication is not effective to cancel or amend the order unless
the communication is verified pursuant to the security procedure or the bank agrees to the
cancellation or amendment. (b) Subject to subsection (a), a communication by the sender cancelling
or amending a payment order is effective to cancel or amend the order if notice of the communication
is received at a time and in a manner affording the receiving bank a reasonable opportunity
to act on the communication before the bank accepts the payment order. (c) After a payment

Section 9-8-31 Discontinuance. (a) At any time after three years after the organization of
a district under the provisions of this article, any 25 owners of land lying within the boundaries
of such district may file a petition with the State Soil and Water Conservation Committee
praying that the operations of the district be terminated and the existence of the district
discontinued. The committee may conduct such public meetings and public hearings upon such

Section 10A-2-14.34 Election to purchase in lieu of dissolution. REPEALED IN THE 2019 REGULAR
SESSION BY ACT 2019-94 EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 2020. THIS IS NOT IN THE CURRENT CODE SUPPLEMENT.
(a) In a proceeding under Section 10A-2-14.30(2) to dissolve a corporation that has no shares
listed on a national securities exchange or regularly traded in a market maintained by one
or more members of a national or affiliated securities association, the corporation may elect
or, if it fails to elect, one or more shareholders may elect to purchase all shares owned
by the petitioning shareholder at the fair value of the shares. An election pursuant to this
section shall be irrevocable unless the court determines that it is equitable to set aside
or modify the election. (b) An election to purchase pursuant to this section may be filed
with the court at any time within 90 days after the filing of the petition under Section 10A-2-14.30(2)

Section 15-9-81 Adoption and text of agreement on detainers. The agreement on detainers is
hereby enacted into law and entered into by the State of Alabama with any and all jurisdictions
legally joining therein, in the form substantially as follows: AGREEMENT ON DETAINERS The

against a prisoner, detainers based on untried indictments, informations or complaints and

Section 41-29-3 Project notification; applications. (a)(1) The Secretary of Commerce shall
be notified in writing about the general parameters of a project if an entity is considering
locating or expanding a facility at a site within this state and intends to claim any of the
incentives provided by the State of Alabama that are described in subdivision (2) (the "required

All owners and operators and all wholesale distributors shall elect by May 24, 2001, to be

Section 45-37-121.19 Dismissals, demotions, suspensions, and appeals. (a) An appointing authority
may dismiss or demote an employee holding permanent status for just cause whenever he or she
