Section 45-42A-23.02 Historic preservation commission. A historic preservation commission, hereinafter referred to as the commission, with the following membership, duties, and powers, may be established by ordinance of the governing body: (1) The commission shall be composed of five members. Residents of the historic district or districts shall elect four members and one member shall be a member of the City of Athens governing body designated by it. (2) The members of the commission elected by the residents of the historic district during annual meetings of the historic district association, except the member of the City of Athens governing body, who shall all serve by virtue of, and whose term shall correspond with the term of his of her office, shall serve for terms of four years. Section 45-8-242 Levy of tax; advisory referendum; collection of tax; disposition of funds. (a) This section shall only apply to Calhoun County. (a) There are exempted from the provisions of this division and from the computation of the amount of the tax levied, assessed, or payable under this division the following: (1) The gross proceeds of the sales of lubricating oil and gasoline as defined in Sections 40-17-30 and 40-17-170 and the gross proceeds from those sales of lubricating oil destined for out-of-state use which are transacted in a manner whereby an out-of-state purchaser takes delivery of such oil at a distributor's plant within this state and transports it out-of-state, which are otherwise taxed. Section 11-67-64 Abatement of nuisance. (a) After the governing body passes the resolution finding the conditions of the property to be a nuisance and ordering its abatement, all employees and duly authorized agents of the municipality may enter upon the private property to abate the nuisance.
