Section 45-33-242.02 Tobacco stamps. The tax hereby authorized to be levied shall be paid by
affixing stamps as is required for the payment of the tax imposed by Section 40-25-1 to Section
40-25-28, inclusive. The State Department of Revenue, if directed and authorized by the Hale
County Commission to collect and administer the county privilege, license, or excise taxes
levied herein, for as long as directed by the county commission, shall have the same duties
relative to the preparation and sale of stamps to evidence the payment of such tax that it
has relative to the preparation and sale of stamps under those sections and may exercise the
same powers and perform the same duties in the same manner relative to the collection of the

Section 45-35-244.02 Provisions of states sales tax statutes applicable. (a) Unless otherwise
provided for herein or where the context herein clearly indicated a different interpretation,
the taxes levied in Section 45-35-244.01 shall be subject to all definitions, exceptions,

Section 45-3-244.32 County privilege, license, or excise tax - Failure to add or levy tax;
penalty; tax stamps; rules and regulations. (a) It shall be unlawful for any dealer, storer,
or distributor engaged in or continuing in the business in Barbour County for which the tax
is levied to fail or refuse to add to the sales price and collect from the purchaser the amount
due on account of the tax herein provided, to refund or offer to refund all or any part of
the amount collected or absorb, or advertise directly or indirectly, the absorption of the

Section 40-17-371 Cost of collection; distribution of tax proceeds. (a) The Alabama Department
of Revenue shall retain one-quarter of one percent (0.25%) of the tax proceeds, less any refunds,
from this additional excise tax on gasoline and diesel fuel for its cost of collection. The
department may adopt rules and such forms as may be necessary for the administration of the
excise tax provided for in this article. (b) Each month, prior to the remaining payments provided
in this article, up to $750,000 of the tax proceeds from the additional excise tax on gasoline
