Section 11-65-10 Powers and duties of commission. When authorized by one or more elections as provided in Section 11-65-4, a commission shall have the powers and duties necessary to license, regulate, and supervise horse racing and pari-mutuel wagering thereon and greyhound racing and pari-mutuel wagering thereon within the commission municipal jurisdiction, including, without limiting the generality of the foregoing, the powers and duties hereinafter set forth in this section or in other sections of this chapter. (1) A commission shall have succession in perpetuity, subject only to the provisions of this chapter as it may be amended from time to time. Section 26-19-7 Duties of law enforcement agencies upon receiving report of missing person. Upon receiving a report of a person believed to be missing, the law enforcement agency shall conduct a preliminary investigation to determine whether the person is missing. If the person is determined to be missing, the agency shall immediately enter identifying and descriptive information about the person to the Alabama Center for Missing and Exploited Children (ACMEC) and to the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) through the Criminal Justice Information Center (CJIC).
