Section 23-7-2 Definitions. For the purposes of this chapter, the following words shall have
the following meanings: (1) BANK. The Alabama Transportation Infrastructure Bank. (2) BOARD.

Section 25-4-91 Determinations and redeterminations upon claims for benefits. (a) Determination
by examiner. A determination upon a claim filed pursuant to Section 25-4-90 shall be made
promptly by an examiner designated by the secretary, and shall include a statement as to whether
and in what amount a claimant is entitled to benefits and, in the event of denial, shall state
the reasons therefor; except, that where he deems additional evidence to be needed, the examiner

Section 28-3-196 Revenue loss phase-out system. (a) When used in this section and in Section
28-3-195(b) and Section 28-3-197, the following words and phrases shall have the following
meanings, respectively, unless the context clearly indicates otherwise: (1) BEER TAX ESCROW
FUND, or FUND. A fund established with the Alcoholic Beverage Control Board as escrow agent
funded by payments made by wholesale beer licensees collecting the tax imposed by this article,
such payments being made from the discount provided by Section 28-3-190(b). From the fund,
the board shall pay to each eligible county the amount or amounts provided by this section
for the purpose of phasing out the net revenue loss which would be experienced by eligible

Section 16-37-7 County may make appropriation for Smith-Hughes type of vocational training.
(a) County commissions of counties of Alabama are hereby authorized to make appropriations
to county boards of education to be used in providing classrooms, laboratories and shops for
use in teaching vocational subjects and for maintaining such vocational departments after
they have been established; provided, that such appropriations may only be made for use in
any school or schools duly recognized by the State Board of Education as centers for vocational

Section 16-60-351 Credit for qualifying education expenses. (a)(1) For tax years commencing
January 1, 2015, and thereafter, a taxpayer who files a state income tax return and is not
a dependent of another taxpayer may claim a tax credit for a contribution made to the Department
of Postsecondary Education for qualifying educational expenses directly associated with the
Career-Technical Dual Enrollment Program as defined by State Board of Education policy. (2)
The tax credit may be claimed by the taxpayer in an amount equal to 50 percent of the total

Section 25-4-152 Deduction of child support obligations; procedures; reimbursement for administrative
costs; time of implementation; deduction of federal income tax. (a) (1) An individual filing
a claim for unemployment compensation shall, at the time of filing such claim, disclose whether
or not the individual owes child support obligations as defined under subdivision (7). If
any such individual discloses that he or she owes child support obligations, and is determined
