Section 40-14A-1 Definitions. For purposes of this chapter, the following terms shall mean: (a) ALABAMA S CORPORATION. An S corporation defined under Section 40-18-160. (b) C CORPORATION. A corporation other than an Alabama S corporation. (c) CODE. The Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended from time to time. (d) CORPORATION. An entity, including a limited liability company electing to be taxed as a corporation for federal income tax purposes, through which business can be conducted while offering limited liability to the owners of the entity with respect to some or all of the obligations of the entity, other than a limited liability entity or a disregarded entity. Section 45-44-90.03 Economic Development Authority - Executive director; employees; funding. (a) The authority may employ a qualified executive director who shall have the responsibility of implementing policies and directives of the board of directors and any necessary staff. The executive director shall have a minimum of a bachelor's degree in economic development, business administration, marketing, finance, economics, public administration, or other related field. (b) The executive director shall serve at the pleasure of the board. The board shall set the annual salary of the executive director. (a) In order for a proposal to be an activity eligible for support, the following minimum requirements must be met: (1) Beneficiaries of the activity must be individuals or families whose annual income or incomes do not exceed 60 percent of the median family income of a geographic area, as determined by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, with adjustments for smaller and larger families.
